Food for kids

Choice have set up a new website called Food For Kids to help decipher the hype and health claims that are made about children’s food. At Food For Kids you can:

  • look at the latest product reviews
  • check the nutrititonal values of a whole range of kids’ foods
  • nominate a food you want Choice to assess

There are also opportunities to take part in their campaigns (they’re currently lobbying Kellogg’s to make healthier children’s cereals) and they have a blog on the site.

I particularly like the tables showing what’s “a lot” and what’s “a little” of sodium, fat and sugars. You could print these out and carry them in your wallet.
