What I'm eating

  • Friday lunch: rye bread sandwich with inches of baby spinach, mushrooms, cheese, artichoke hearts
  • Thursday afternoon: eating an apple and some seed filled crackers
  • Thursday lunch: the final leftover soy bombs, with a big pile of rocket leaves & some tahini dressing.
  • Tues lunch with my parents. Pide bread sandwich with avocado, pesto, greens & fetta. Positively delicious. And a coffee.
  • Tuesday breakfast: kamut toast (from Sonoma) with tahini and mum's home-made plum jam

A reminder about Q & A Thursday

Posted by kathryn in Uncategorized

Q & A Thursday is tomorrow – Limes & Lycopene’s weekly burst of blogging where you get to dictate the subject matter. If you have any questions about food, diet, health and nutrition, then let me know, by leaving a comment or sending an email.

If you want to know more, then take a look at the Q & A Thursday introductory post. In the last few weeks I’ve covered a whole range of different topics, including:

  • The truth about artificial sweeteners
  • The nutritional value of beetroot
  • Whether cheese is good for you
  • Strategies for minimising hayfever in Spring
  • 7 ways to reduce PMS naturally

Even if you don’t have a question, then tune in tomorrow for clear and practical answers to food and health dilemmas.

Hi Kathryn – I am loving this months posts, thank you. My question is..What is the healthiest kind of pasta? Is buckwheat/rice pasta a healthier option (even if we don’t have a wheat intolerance) or wholemeal wheat pasta? Personally, I seem to mix it up a lot and have buckwheat/rice and organic white pasta (cheaper than conventional if you buy it at Aldo – Just Organics brand) and wholegrain pasta? I have pasta probably twice a week and have started bulking them up with more emphasis on the vegetables rather than the pasta, but I’d just like to know.. which pasta!

Thanks in advance,
Fiona

Woops, that was meant to read Aldi. not AldO. :)

Thanks for the question Fiona, I’ll post an answer a bit later this afternoon. And it’s alright I knew exactly what you meant!
