Today I want to know if any of these foods contain fat?
Don’t worry there is a point to all this – I’m not just trying to torture you with questions!

- pumpkin
- lamb
- tofu
- broccoli
- apples
- olive oil
- butter
- salmon
- bananas
- rice
- hazelnuts
- chickpeas
- sultanas
Leave your thoughts in the comments below and I’ll post the answers tomorrow.

Hi, first time here, like the site, catchy name. :)
I’m going to say everything contains fat except for the following: 3, 6, 7, 11, 12. (I don’t know what 15 are)
But I guess there could be even trace amounts in those! Looking foward to the answer.
bread – no
milk – yes depending on type
pumpkin – no
lamb – yes
tofu – no
broccoli -no
apples -no
olive oil -yes
butter -yes
salmon -yes
bananas -no
rice -no
hazelnuts -yes
chickpeas -no
sultanas -no
No fat in pumpkin, broccoli, apples, bananas and sultanas. Trace amounts in brown rice. No fat in fatfree milk ;-)
sultanas = golden raisins
I’m going to guess that the following:
Bread – yes; Milk – yes; Pumpkin – no; Lamb – yes; Tofu – yes; Broccoli – no; Apples – no; Olive oil – yes; Salmon – yes; Bananas – no; Rice – no; Hazelnuts – yes; Chickpeas – yes; Sultanas – no
Well, I’m not going to participate as I am studying nutrition and it would therefore be unfair to everyone else (and clearly you would like to be giving the answer yourself!). But I must say it is a very good question to be asking the general public and I found the answers people have given very interesting and insightful. Thanks for another interesting post.
Hello to everyone, lovely to see some new commentors. The answers is all of the above foods contain some fat. Admittedly bananas and apples only contain trace amounts, but there’s still a little bit in there. Even pumpkin and brocolli contain small amounts of fat.
The only exception, as some of you pointed out, would be milk described as “fat free”.
And Eva – thanks for the translation. I didn’t realise sultanas weren’t widely known – golden raisins it is.
I’ve posted the last question today – which of the list contain protein. And I’ll be writing a follow up / explanation post next week.
Golden raisins? Wow, what a lovely name for sultanas.
