What I'm eating

  • Friday lunch: rye bread sandwich with inches of baby spinach, mushrooms, cheese, artichoke hearts
  • Thursday afternoon: eating an apple and some seed filled crackers
  • Thursday lunch: the final leftover soy bombs, with a big pile of rocket leaves & some tahini dressing.
  • Tues lunch with my parents. Pide bread sandwich with avocado, pesto, greens & fetta. Positively delicious. And a coffee.
  • Tuesday breakfast: kamut toast (from Sonoma) with tahini and mum's home-made plum jam

Quicklinks

Posted by kathryn in Fruit and Dinners

Super quick Quicklinks today, as I’m rushing, rushing to get everything finished before going away for the weekend.

Which means I’m not going to get a chance to tell you about the new Wellbeing Food magazine which is available in newsagents and gorgeous. If you get a chance take a look, otherwise I’ll chat more about it next week.

  • An apple a day: What a lovely idea for using those annoying little stickers you get on fruit. A way to record, stay motivated, keep on track, get your kids involved in eating fruit
  • Seaweed risotto: I’m still not a confident seaweed user, so am always looking for new ideas and inspiration. Which is why my eyes were drawn to Heidi’s recipe for barley risotto with seaweed. Such an interesting idea
  • Food safety: When I was holding regular Q & A forums I used to get lots of questions about food safety, including can you eat leftover rice?. This week I saw a good summary of the leftover rice issue, and other food safety topics on the ABC website.
  • Easy chilli: Yesterday I asked your opinion on quick and instant recipes (and keep your comments coming in, I’m finding them really interesting reading). Well today I Michelle from What Does Your Body Good? is talking about making a recipe work for you with her flexible chilli.
  • Maintaining health changes: The lovely Shauna of Dietgrrrrl fame has written a guest post for Refuse to Regain on the difficulty of maintaining weight loss.
